The importance of a wird

In the wonderful book by imam al-Haddad “The Book of Assistance” the importance of having a wird is stressed very often. He quotes his teacher who said: “Whoever has no wird is a qird [monkey]!” (pag. 18). Actually the book is filled with sayings about having a wird.
