Four things responsible for causing islam to lose its brilliance

In his book “The Path of Muhammad” imam al-Birgivi – rahmatullahi aleyhi – said, quoting a certain Muhammad ibn al-Fadl:

“Four things are responsible for causing Islam to lose its brilliance:

1. Many Muslims do not live in accordance with what they know.

2. They live in accordance with what they do not know.

3. When they do not know the basis of their actions, they do not try to learn from those who know.

4. They prevent each other from knowing by distracting each other, either by attractive things or by things that are fearful.”

 

Subhanallah, this is so true. Islam lost its brilliance because of ignorance.
