Riyadh us-Salihin

It is said that this collection of ahadith or book is found in nearly every mosque on this planet next to the Qur’an. Riyadh us-Salihin or Gardens of the Righteous as one could translate it is mainly a book on ihsan. This book is an absolute must-have in your own private collection, it contains many treasures. I recently read that students at Dar al-Mustafa in Tarim (Yemen) now have to memorize this book in their studies. There are several translations of this book available. A while ago I bought the Dar-us-Salam translation as part of the dowry for my wife but I found out afterwards there is some negative critique on this translation due to several reasons; check the critique from G.F. Haddad and on the blog Seekingilm. I deciced to make a list of some of the available translations so one can make a choice for his or her own (all taken from Kitaabun).
